Welcome to the weblog of the Budapest Studytrip of the 1st year Tourism and Leisure Management Students.This blog is made for all paritcipants and their family and friends. Here you can find information about the City, all company visits planned, the hostel, transportation within Budapest, leisure activities and F&B.The central theme of this study trip is citymarketing. Therefore we will visit different companies dealing with this topic , such as Budapest info, the citymarketing company of Budapest. Other company visits planned are the Gellert Hotel and Continental Travel. We also will do some sightseeing and there is also individual time to explore the city.
In every category on the top of this website you will find information about the specific topics. And of course we will provide you with pictures and daily reports when we are in Budapest.

F&B

Dinner & Lunch
Together as a group we will visit three different restaurants. Monday night we will have dinner as the starting activity of our Budapest Studytrip. Then Tuesday afternoon we wil have a delicious lunch and at the ending event of our trip we will again have dinner together Thursday night. Therefore the communication& F&B group looked up some nice restaurant. Three of them replied and confirmed our reservations. Those restaurants are:

RESTAURANTS, BARS AND CLUBS
Hungary offers a wide range of excellent culinary entertainment. Its traditions are far reaching into its history and place in Europe. Unfortunately, the reputation of this industry is also being damaged by few opportunists targeting visitors. Near some large hotels in the business district (V district) of central Pest, you can be charged exorbitant prices in certain bars, clubs and restaurants. Common scams include adding a 20,000 HUF (€80,00) surcharge per drink to the fi nal bill or charging up to 100,000 HUF (€300,00) for a meal. Individuals who have been unable to settle their bills have frequently been accompanied by the establishment’s security guards to a cash machine and made to withdraw funds under threats of violence. You should avoid all establishments where menus do not properly display prices. Even when prices appear to be properly displayed, if you have any doubts about a bar, restaurant or club – do NOT go in.
